Terms of Service

Effective October 19, 2026 · Version 2026-10

These Terms are an agreement between you and Steven Eccles, doing business as PreMeal Connect ("PreMeal Connect", "we", "us"), 50 Meadow Lane, Bloomfield, NJ 07003, United States. They cover the PreMeal Connect mobile app and the website at premealconnect.com (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, joining a restaurant or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you are creating a restaurant on behalf of a business, you confirm you have the authority to bind that business, and "you" includes the business.

1. Accounts and roles

You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to work at the restaurant whose space you join. Keep your username and password private; you are responsible for activity under your account. Tell your manager or us right away if you think someone else is using it. Accounts are personal and may not be shared.

There are three roles. Owners create a restaurant, hold its subscription and control everything in it. Managers run the restaurant's space day to day, including creating and removing staff accounts. Employees use the features their restaurant enables. Your role is set by your restaurant, not by us.

2. Restaurants and your team

Each restaurant is a private workspace. The restaurant's owner and managers decide who is in it, what they can see and what they can edit. The restaurant is responsible for the accounts it creates, for having a lawful basis to collect its employees' information, for the accuracy of what it enters (schedules, menus, allergen information, tip calculations and so on), and for following the employment, wage and privacy laws that apply to it. PreMeal Connect is a tool; it does not give legal, payroll, tax or food-safety advice, and tip and checkout math in the app is only as correct as the figures entered into it.

Owners can transfer a restaurant to a manager. An owner must transfer the restaurant before deleting their own account. Subscriptions do not transfer with ownership (see section 3).

3. Subscriptions, trials and billing

4. Your content

Everything a restaurant and its team put into the app — menus, recipes, photos, announcements, notes, messages, schedules — belongs to the restaurant and the people who created it. You give us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, display and transmit that content only as needed to run the Service for you (for example, to show a menu photo to your co-workers or deliver a message). We do not use your content for anything else and we do not claim ownership of it.

You are responsible for your content. Only upload content you have the right to use, and do not upload anything that is illegal, infringing, harassing, obscene or harmful. Managers can remove content from their restaurant's space; we can remove content that violates these Terms.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use the Service to break the law, harass or threaten anyone, impersonate others, access another restaurant's data, interfere with the Service or its security, scrape or copy the Service, reverse-engineer the app, or upload malware. Do not use the Service for any purpose other than running a restaurant team. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.

6. Our rights

The app, the website, the PreMeal Connect name and logo, and the design, software and text we created are ours and protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, under these Terms and the app store's rules. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

7. App stores and third parties

The app is distributed through Apple's App Store and Google Play, and your use of it is also subject to their terms. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or for support, and have no obligation to you under these Terms; Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. The Service relies on third-party providers such as Supabase, RevenueCat, Expo, Sentry and WeatherAPI.com; their availability is outside our control.

8. Ending the agreement

You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from the app (My Hub → Profile → Delete account) or by emailing us. Your restaurant can remove your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts or restaurants that violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for us, or have been inactive for a long period, with notice where reasonable. Sections 4 (licence to content already shared), 6, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 survive termination.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that content (including allergen information, schedules and tip figures) is accurate or complete. You use the Service at your own risk.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PreMeal Connect will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from or related to the Service, however caused. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of (a) the amount your restaurant paid us for the Service in those twelve months and (b) fifty US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these limitations; in that case they apply to the extent permitted.

11. Indemnity

If you are a restaurant, you agree to defend and indemnify PreMeal Connect against claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, your treatment of your employees' information, or your breach of these Terms or the law.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Essex County, New Jersey, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, email us; most issues can be sorted out quickly.

13. General

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a provision, we are not waiving it. You may not transfer these Terms; we may transfer them as part of a sale or reorganization of the business. We may update these Terms; if the change is material we will give notice in the app or by email, and continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept the new Terms. The version number at the top identifies the Terms you accepted.
